🌍 What We Are
The International Affairs & Legal Studies Club is a student-led platform dedicated to exploring how law, diplomacy, and political systems shape global events.
Founded by Chris Rizos, the initiative invites students to engage with real-world challenges through writing, discussion, and collaborative projects.
🎯 Mission
Our mission is to provide a space where students can examine the role of law in global affairs — including diplomacy, human rights, international governance, corporate responsibility, and global justice.
We foster independent thinking, research, and civic awareness through student-driven content and events.
🎓 Who It’s For
The club welcomes high school students with an interest in: law, international relations, political science, history, economics, or global policy.
Students in Grade 8 may join as Junior Members, attending select activities without leadership roles.
🛠 What We Do
We organize monthly events and projects such as:
🗣 Roundtable discussions on current global legal issues
🎤 Guest speakers from diplomacy, law, and journalism
📽 Film & Forum sessions with post-screening analysis
📰 A digital newsletter featuring student-written articles
🤝 Collaboration
We do not offer diplomatic simulations or formal debate training, as these are already hosted by other school clubs (e.g. MUN, Speech & Debate).
However, we welcome joint initiatives on shared global topics — where each club contributes its unique perspective.
📅 Club Calendar
We operate from October to May, publishing four newsletters a year and hosting events such as guest lectures, workshops, and student forums.
